DDG

Rather than stick to the script, compromise, or follow, DDG has confidently and charismatically blazed his own trail through hip-hop. Hailing from Pontiac, MI, he has quietly asserted himself as a multiplatinum rapper, trendsetting entrepreneur, and victorious boxer. Since 2016, he has vaulted to the upper echelon of the culture, adorning top publications, picking up plaques, and eclipsing 1 billion streams. However, he blasts off to another level altogether in 2022 on his second full-length album for his own DDG Entertainment and Epic Records and more to come.

He found fortitude within during his childhood. He endured the loss of his older brother to street violence, balanced a day job and school, and eventually saved up enough money to relocate to Los Angeles. After a series of early independent singles, he initially graduated from buzzing force to rap star on his 2019 debut, Valedictorian, which boasted the gold-certified banger “ARGUMENTS.” However, he reached the stratosphere in 2020 with the inescapable “Moonwalking In Calabasas (Remix)” [feat. BLUEFACE]. It marked his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and went platinum. Along the way, he collaborated with everyone from YoungBoy NBA and Queen Naija to Coi Leray, Tyla Yaweh, Masked Wolf, G-Eazy, and G Herbo. Following his 2021 project Die 4 Respect with OG Parker, fans overwhelmingly voted him on to XXL’s prestigious “Freshman Class” cover, and he also landed on the covers of KAZI Magazine, PREME, and UPROXX who urged, “Get ready to watch the rise of DDG, a rap star who is humble, unstoppable, and knows exactly how he plans on getting there.”

He continues to dominate the conversation from every angle. He made his boxing debut at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL in a 2021 fight against Nate Wyatt. He triumphantly won by decision.

DDG only maintained his unprecedented momentum musically throughout 2022. He ignited the single “Elon Musk” [feat. Gunna] and naturally evolved with a combination of masterful lyricism and magnetic melodies. The track illuminated his progression, and it catapulted to #12 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles Chart. Right out of the gate, REVOLT raved, “The new song sees the two playing off of each other’s melodic flows effortlessly as they slide over a calm beat.”

Even gravity can’t contain DDG as he gears up for his sophomore offering and trains hard to make history and become “the first rapper in space.”

He’s about to take over rap not only on this planet, but perhaps across the universe as well.
